Roadshow is a touring show that takes artwork, artists and curators on tour to rural venues across the UK.

Roadshow is an outdoor weekend event showcasing a wide range of newly commissioned artworks, from live performance to film and video - all presented and performed outdoors in and around a newly commissioned architectural structure designed by artists / curators FlatPack001.

Revelling in the true spirit of the 'tour', artists and curators will be on the road together and on site over each weekend.

For three days at each of the first three venues in the tour you will be able to engage with an exciting range of work - from stunt man extraordinaire Harry Butler’s daredevil ‘Ring of Fire’ antics (all performed on a BMX) to Paul Rooney’s musical, based on a press cutting found in the Stan Laurel Museum, Ulverston.

A range of film and video will be screened outdoors and artists’ multiples and affordable artworks will be for sale.

At each venue a Battle of the Bands competition will be hosted – from girl bands to gospel, the prizewinners will get to play a gig in Dundee and a totally unique video made for them by international artist jetsetter Olaf Breuning.

At the last and final leg, (Dundee), Roadshow will be installed as a gallery show, incorporating everything from the tour – from fag butts and complaints letters to documentation from meetings and the tour.

A catalogue will also be available at Dundee that includes highlights and lowlights from the tour and planning and commissioning process.
