HyperScope About Levox Levox is the coming together of filmmakers and artists Gaelle Rouard & Etienne Caire (known as Atelier MTK), and DJ composer and musician eRikm. All three have worked individually and collectively for many years building an immense international reputation for innovative audio-visual performances.
Their complete reworking of John Huston's classic feature 'Moby Dick' toured across the world in 2001, complete with its twenty 16mm projectors and hundreds of accompanying celluloid loops, to elated audiences, thrilled programmers and great critical acclaim - and winning prestigious prizes on the way. Gaelle and Etienne live and work in Grenoble, France, occupying an aladin's cave of a studio, full to the gunnels of analogue film equipment, paraphernalia and film footage itself decorating the walls like some crazy cinematic grotto.
From his background as rock guitarist, eRikm is now renowned for his virtuoso turntabling and integrated use of electronic instruments, bringing rock and contemporary music together in collaborations with Voice Crack, Christian Marclay, Luc Ferrari and others including, of course, Atelier MTK. eRikm website
